A jailbreak is a process which permits full execute and write access on all the partitions of the iPhone/iPod Touch. It is required to run unofficial third party apps such as ZodTTD's softwares.
Most trusted softwares are made by the Dev Team and Geo Hot.
Usually, during the jailbreak, a package manager like Cydia will be installed on the device.
