snes4iphone 6.1.3 Review 19 Nov 09 |
15:52:45 by CaseyViews: 524 | Comments: 1
Overview:snes4iphone is a snes emulator ported from PocketSNES which came from snes9x. It runs games at a good speed (I have a iPod touch 2G) and has a large compatibility. Controls:It depends on the game, but the touch screen controls can be hard at times but its easy to get used to. 7/10 or variable on gameGraphics:This also depends on the game, because some games have bad sound. Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Megaman X, etc looks awesome on my iPod and turning on smooth scaling, which looses some speed, makes it the graphics so great. 10/10 or variable...

Pandora's "mass" appeal! 17 Nov 09 |
19:53:17 by zodttdViews: 831 | Comments: 22
I was speaking to Craig (craigix) of the OpenPandora project. For those unaware still, Pandora is a very powerful homebrew handheld. Take a Nintendo DS, and give it better-than-iPhone 3gs performance and you get the Pandora. Craig linked me to his latest photo of the Pandora being mass produced. This is a good reason to place your pre-order for this awesome homebrew handheld (gaming and more!) now: I'm really excited to see the final product in everyone's hands! Thanks, ZodTTD

TapTap Revenge 3 Review 13 Nov 09 |
04:47:51 by atticusViews: 324 | Comments: 5
 | I have been playing TapTap Revenge from the moment it was first released (back then it was called TapTap Revolution), and I have always liked this game alot. The concept is exactly the same as Guitar Hero, but of course this game uses the Touch Pad as input device, so the goal is to tap the screen like a madman to get all the points you can get. |
There are a couple of songs included when you buy this game, and also you can download a free song (and theme) every week. Not all the songs are free, there are also song packs available (for 2.99) that include 6 songs and a theme for that specific band. An example is the Blin ...

Rolando 2 : Quest for the Golden Orchid 09 Nov 09 |
22:44:28 by leafiness0Views: 205 | Comments: 0
Review: Rolando 2Ngmoco originally sold this game as a standalone app, which was when I first got it. Now, they give you the app and its first chapter for free - but you have to purchase the rest of the levels as in-app purchases. If you liked the first level and are planning on playing the game, buy the "all chapters" option. If you get it chapter by chapter because you think you won't be playing all of it, think again. The storyline and gameplay will just keep rolling along.
First impressions:
I know, don't judge a book by its cover, but I often judge an app by its icon or its splash screen. Ro...

N64iphone makes headlines! 04 Nov 09 |
20:58:23 by zodttdViews: 3693 | Comments: 35
The good people over at TUAW took notice of my news to port an N64 emulator with an iPhone compatible ARM dynarec, iPhone UI, and 3D hardware acceleration. Its work in progress title is N64iphone. There's a ton of work put into this project, before I even got my grubby hands on it. The talented programmers, Ari64 and Adventus have tackled the ARM dynarec and 3D acceleration. Also of note, my buddy Pickle is there to motivate and help get this all tied together. Where I step in is putting the pieces together and getting it up and running on the iPhone 3gs & iPod Touch 3rd Gen. It has progressed well, and I will take video or screenshots as soon as N64iph ...
