As a newly recruited writer for ModMyi, I wanted to formally introduce myself so you can get to know me and start getting prepared for the awesome posts I have in store for you! My goal is to make my posts as enjoyable, informational, and well worth your read as much as possible. Obviously, I have to gain that trust so let me start off on the right foot. Shall we?

First off, my name is Joshua Tucker (feel free to call me Josh or Tucker) and I'm 19 years old. I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada region in Northern California. I'm currently attending Folsom Lake College with a Business and Marketing major with a tint of Entrepreneurship. I plan on transferring to Sacramento State University in Spring of 2012 to continue my undergraduate education. On top of school, I'm a nationally ranked competitive gymnast (Acrobatic Gymnastics) and love being active and in the outdoors. I'm also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and have worked as a foot searcher for the El Dorado County Search and Rescue team. As a world travel-aholic, I have been to many parts of the world whether on vacation or foreign exchange programs. Huge interests of mine are culture, language, and people.

To say the least, I'm an avid Apple owner (iPhone 4 / MacBook Pro) and jailbreak enthusiast. Jailbreak information is my forte and I'm always staying on top of the latest news and trying out new tweaks, applications, themes, etc. My goal as a writer in this field is to get first hand information whenever possible and to develop strong relationships with developers, companies, and others in the Apple and jailbreak community. Not only does this bring a more personable touch to the table for the readers, but also it opens up new doors to test and review upcoming new releases first hand.

If you haven't noticed quite yet, I'm extremely outgoing and love to get to know people. I'm always open to suggestions, input, encouragement, and just basic chat. Feel free to contact me via my profile, private message, or email. For all those who are avid social networkers, hit me up on the following networks.

"I'll be back" as the Terminator would say, however next time, I'll be here with news! See you in cyberspace; are you ready?

Who’s got two thumbs and new to Modmyi.com?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011
Modmyi.com visitors, members, and random people on the internet,

My name is Phillip Swanson and I’m a new writer here at Modmyi.com. This is my formal introduction. Well, as formal as online introductions go. I promise not to Rick-Roll, Meatspin, or 2G1C any of you…. Maybe.

I’m relatively recent college graduate (Journalism Major, Imaging minor) and currently working on my Master’s in communication at Western Michigan University. I’m majorly into film and video production as well as a tech whore. A deadly combination, which equates to me always wanting equipment I can’t afford.

I’m sure if any of you cared enough to find out more about me (please don’t) you can google my name. Hint, I’m the one all the football articles are about. Yes I played Division-1 football for five years. I can still walk. I can still talk. These are things that working on a computer wont put in jeopardy. My large 6’4” 300 pound frame will most likely be wheel chair bound in the coming years so I plan to cherish what little time I have left amongst the working-two-legged folk.

In all seriousness I look forward to sharing my love of technology and all things apple with the Modmyi.com community. I’ve tried to include a picture of me that shows off my best traits.
