Sprint Won’t Make a Dime From The iPhone for Three More Years

If it's true that "good things take time," then Sprint must have something amazing in store. Because it will have taken a veritable eternity in the mobile world for the iPhone to become profitable for the nation's third largest mobile carrier.

According to published reports Wednesday, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse isn't an impatient man. In fact, he sounds more than willing to wait another three years for the iPhone to become profitable for his company. As it turns out, that's how long it will take before Sprint's strategic investment yields any green.

Wall Street Journal Report Claims Apple Tapping Suppliers For Larger iPhone Displays

A new Wall Street Journal report claims Apple’s next iPhone will indeed feature a larger 4-inch screen.

Citing sources “familiar with the situation” the WSJ claims Apple has been looking to its suppliers for larger screens for the next iPhone with sizes of at least 4-inches. Rumors surrounding the next iPhone, and even the iPhone 4S before it, have long speculated that Apple has plans to increase the size of their iconic handset. However, the rumors haven’t materialized with each generation of the iPhone sharing the familiar 3.5-inch screen size.

Apple Files Motion to Dismiss Siri Class Action Lawsuit

According to the lawsuit one of the plaintiffs complained they were unable to replicate the above commercial.

China Mobile Seeking iPhone Cooperation with Apple

It was recently revealed by China Mobile that the company is in ongoing negotiations with Apple to bring the iPhone to its network. According to Reuters, chairman Xi Guohua said that the company is “actively talking to Apple” to shareholders during the company meeting. He added that he couldn’t “give you too many details, but he’d like to repeat that both sides do hope to boost their cooperation.”

HTC Handsets Being Held at Customs Due to Investigation of Apple Patent Infringement

The Taiwanese handset maker HTC recently revealed that shipments of its HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE devices have been delayed because they are being reviewed by U.S. Customs to check for compliance with an injunction by the ITC.

According to a statement by the company “The U.S. availability of the HTC One X and HTC Evo 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval.”

Apple’s Request to Dismiss E-book Class Action Lawsuit Denied

Apple recently received a legal slap on Wednesday when U.S. District Judge Denise Cote rejected Apple’s request to dismiss a class action lawsuit against Apple and five publishers. Judge Cote scoffed at the idea that Apple and the publishers acted independently when it comes to what’s known as agency pricing, their defense to the charges that they were price-fixing ebooks.
